Trade fairs are still ideal places for direct customer contact. MAPAL has been present at the relevant exhibitions around the world for decades - and uses them not only for product presentations, but above all for personal contact with interested parties and customers.

BRINGING MAPAL TO LIFE IN ALL ITS FACETS

It is not documented when MAPAL first exhibited at a trade fair. However, it is clear that the company regularly used exhibitions to present its products even in the early days. Trade fairs became particularly important when MAPAL decided in the mid-1970s to produce only single-bladed reamers and to market these through its own sales organisation. Especially for the complex reamers that require explanation, trade fairs are the ideal place to demonstrate potential customers their possibilities and advantages. Especially as company boss Dr Dieter Kress has a special talent for approaching and inspiring potential customers at MAPAL exhibition booths with his passion and technical expertise. 

A trade fair that is still important for MAPAL today is held in Paris for the first time in 1975: the World Machine Tool Exhibition (Exposition Mondial de la Machine Outil, EMO). It has now become the world's largest trade fair for metalworking and takes place every two years. MAPAL has been an exhibitor at EMO since its inception. MAPAL experienced a highlight at the Hanover trade fair in 2007 when Horst Köhler and Christian Wulff, a current and a future German President, visited the MAPAL booth.

MAPAL has already presented countless new products and innovations at the international trade fair scene. This is also an opportunity to network with customers, other manufacturers and trade associations. 

MAPAL continues to exhibit at many trade fairs, open house events organised by partners, symposia and specialist forums around the world every year. Despite the many possibilities offered by the internet, these events provide an invaluable opportunity for personal dialogue and thus for real customer proximity. In the anniversary year 2025 alone, MAPAL will be represented at 19 trade fairs worldwide with a stand, 11 specialist presentations and symposia as well as 2 open house events. In addition, 6 MAPAL representatives will present themselves at smaller trade fairs.
